DARREN PIRIE'S MK5 GOLF

On the run up to Dubshed next weekend, we thought it made sense to finally drop this feature which we caught last time we were in Belfast. After a stunning day at Titanic Dubs before the ferry home, we caught up with Darren & his Mk5 Golf as the sun set on the docks.

You may have seen this car at Cleanfest in 2014, when it was silver - but last year Darren decided it was time for a change, and he took to painting his car himself in BMW Estoril Blue. Believe it or not, he has just painted the entire car again for Dubshed this year, he said he wasn't 100% happy- we weren't sure why? We put it down to him being perfectionist.

Darren, I'm sure he will admit it himself , seems to have a serious urge to make sure nothing inside this Golf isn't trimmed. The handy work of Optimus Trimmers has transformed the interior of this car into a heaven of red leather and GTi tartan, even the bloody boot latch is trimmed! It is definitely a sharp contrast to the blue exterior.

Sitting on a set of of ETA Beta Cups, paired with Airlift V2, the car sits perfectly in behind the lip (damaging that paint Darren...). This year he has picked up a new set of wheels, very close to my own heart, which will totally transform the look of this car again. We won't spoil that too much just now though - you will just have to come over to our stand next weekend and check out the latest look of this Mk5. You won't be disappointed.
