Into The Forest // Jack Hogg's Audi A7

Not known to take half measures when it comes to anything, Jack Hogg’s Audi A7 is one of the most complete and well built cars we’ve seen. You might recognise Jack’s A7 from our 2017 Wörthersee Movie but this car has gone full circle since then in terms of modifications and style.

Jack purchased the car mid 2016, prior to selling his A4 (another well built car) with plans to modify from the get-go. The A7 was everything Jack wanted from a car, good looking, comfortable, fast and has serious road presence. At the time no one had really modified one yet but Jack had plans, quickly escalating to big plans!

To begin with, Jack fitted the A7 with full AccuAir set up alongside e-level management as well as an exhaust for those sweet V6 sounds but with Ultimate Dubs 2017 coming up, things quickly got out of hand. Jack fitted the RS4 brakes from his A4 before taking the car to Plush to have a boot install built as well as a full RS7 interior retrimmed and fitted.

While it was in at Plush, Jack bought owner Luke’s Avant Garde wheels from him to test them out, immediately falling in love with how they made the car look. All said and done, the car won a top 20 award at Ultimate Dubs.

At this point the car has had almost every part of it changed, even sporting a full custom DTM inspired RedBull wrap for a while. In it’s current guise it has an RS7 front end complete with carbon splitter, as well as carbon RS7 rear diffuser. The interior is trimmed in red leather and alcantara with plenty carbon throughout for good measure including the seat backs, steering wheel and even the centre of the rear bench. Tying in well with the carbon lips on the custom 3-piece wheels.

Not only does Jack’s A7 look the part though, it sounds and goes just as well! Putting out 471bhp and 585nM courtesy of an MRC Stage 2 remap this yacht performs more like a powerboat! It’s no show pony either, Jack takes pride in the fact the car is used on a regular basis, no matter the weather or distance. Driving hard means this heavy beast needs some serious stopping power to match, Jack’s got that sorted too with Audi Ceramic brakes all round!

This is one of the most well put together builds we’ve seen with no stone left unturned and best of all, as a mechanic Jack has been able to do much of the work himself - leaving the specialist jobs to the professionals.

We asked Jack if he had anything he would like to say in particular about the build and in his usual humble manner he’s used it as a way to give thanks to everyone who helped along the way:

'First off I have to give a big thank you to Iain and the boys at Evolution Paintworks, their work has been flawless over the years on parts that I’ve changed.

Plush Automotive for sorting my interior out and liaising with RS Carbon in Budapest to sort those interior parts too.

Although it may not look it now but the car did once have a mad wrap on it that was meant to just be for Wörthersee 2019 but ended up looking so dope it stayed for the season so big thanks to Shore Wraps for that.

XenonzUK have always had my back too, great company to deal with and produce great parts.

Faezan at Fife Powdercoating done a rapid, quality job on the wheels.

But most importantly I’d like to thank my boss Jeff, without him none of this would have been possible.'
