DUBSHED 2018

Back at it again with Dubshed 2018, finally.

We kicked off our 2018 show season with one of our favourite shows; GTINI’s Dubshed. 2018 marks the show’s 9th anniversary and our 5th time in attendance. We’ve watched the show grow from it’s humble beginnings at the King’s Hall to where it is now, in it’s third year at the Eikon Centre.

Dubshed always promises a great vibe with some of the best cars from around the UK in on display - and it never breaks this promise. After last year’s influx of non-german marques, the GTINI crew had ensured this year the show would be going back to its roots as a VAG show. This however, did not mean the show would return to it’s original strict VAG only policy - thankfully.

We found it refreshing last year to see Dubshed add a ‘Best Non-VAG’ award, this year they gave 5 of their top 25 awards to non-VAG cars, our very own Greg Robins taking one with his Evo.

We brought Fraser Gatherum along on our stand with his wild mk4 Golf wagon complete with 11j wheels and -12º camber all round. We heard some people complaining about this car over the weekend but we absolutely love it’s no f*cks attitude.

Nial’s 993 still looks as incredible as it did last year!

As usual, the GTINI crew made sure that if you somehow managed to bore yourself with the cars on show there was still plenty to keep you entertained. With r/c car racing, r/c plane displays and autocross there was no chance you were finding yourself at a loose end.

Unfortunately the weather did put an end to some of the outdoor entertainment, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. The sick yokes and the craic were more than entertaining enough!

We loved this super clean mk7 belonging to @vwbaz

We’re excited to celebrate Dubshed’s 10 year anniversary next year and with a second hall under construction at the Eikon Centre I’m sure it’ll be bigger and better than ever.
